Road Restrictions

Each construction season we are diligently working to maintain and improve our county road system. To make your travel more convenient in Warren County we have provided the following list of upcoming and current county road restrictions. Make note of whether to expect delays because of closures and/or currently under construction areas.

Clearcreek Township - Springboro Road Bridge (BR 41-1.69)
Full Closure - Detour Posted

Springboro Road will be closed in Clearcreek Township at Bridge 41-1.69 for a bridge replacement project starting Monday, April 15, 2013. The bridge replacement project will require the closure of Springboro Road just north of Music Place. The closure will last for seven (7) weeks, ending on May 31, 2013, weather permitting.

The existing Springboro Bridge (#41-1.69) will be replaced by force account with a precast concrete box culvert. The project is estimated to cost $70,000 and will be funded by the Warren County Engineer.

The detour for the closure will utilize Pekin Road, SR 48, Lower Springboro Road, and Red-Lion Five Points.

Salem Township - Morrow-Rossburg Road (CR 27)
Daytime Closure - Detour Posted

Morrow‐Rossburg Road (CR 27) in Salem Township will be closed for one day on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., weather permitting. The closure will take place between Bennett Road and Welch Road.

The detour for the closure will utilize Bennett Road, Ludlum Road, Morrow‐Cozaddale Road, US 22/3, and Front Street.

Hamilton Township - Morrow-Cozaddale Road (CR 43)
Daytime Closures - Detour Posted

Morrow‐Cozaddale Road (CR 43) in Hamilton Township will be closed during the day on May 13 and 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., weather permitting. The closures which will take place for culvert replacements will be between Ludlum Road and US 22/3.

The detour for the closures will utilize US 22/3, Front Street, Morrow‐Rossburg Road, Bennett Road, and Ludlum Road.

Hamilton Township - Fosters-Maineville Road (CR 23)
Daytime Closures - Detour Posted

Fosters-Maineville Road (CR 23) in Hamilton Township will be closed during the weeks of May 6, 2013 through May 17, 2013 for five (5) days, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., weather permitting. The closures will take place between Zoar Road and SR 48.

The detour for the closures will utilize Zoar Road, Cozaddale-Murdoch Road, and SR 48.

Franklin Township - Shaker Road (CR 48)
Daytime Closure - Detour Posted

Shaker Road (CR 48) in Franklin Township will be closed during for one (1) day during the week of May 20, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., weather permitting. The closure is for a culvert replacement project that is located between Union Road and Manchester Road.

The detour for the closure will utilize SR 122 and Union Road.

Turtlecreek Township - Wilmington Road Bridge (BR 7-4.54)
Full Closure - Detour Posted

Wilmington Road will be closed in Turtlecreek Township at Bridge 7-4.54 for a bridge replacement project starting Monday, June 10, 2013. The bridge replacement project will require the closure of Wilmington Road between Cold Springs Road and the Little Miami River. The closure will last for seven (7) weeks, ending on July 26, 2013, weather permitting.

The existing bridge will be replaced by force account with a precast concrete box culvert. The project cost is $90,000 and will be funded by the Warren County Engineer.

The detour for the closure will utilize Waynesville Road, Oregonia Road, and Corwin Road.

Deerfield Township - Butler-Warren Road (CR 2)
Road Construction - Traffic Maintained

Phase 4 is the final phase to be completed in spring 2013. This phase includes construction of the new multi-use hike-bike path on the west side of the road, final paving and lane striping throughout the entire project length, and placement of reflective pavement markings. No road closures are anticipated for this phase although final paving may require temporary lane closures.

The full project involves widening 2.2 miles of Butler Warren from two to five lanes between Tylersville Road and Bethany Road, thereby creating two northbound and southbound lanes plus a center turn lane. Plans also call for adding curb and gutter and building a shared use path along the west side of the road from Tylersville to Sweet Briar Drive. A sidewalk will also be added on the east side from Mason Road to Hampton Cove Court.

Deerfield Township - Bethany Road (CR 59)
Road Construction - Traffic Maintained

The final phase, to be completed in spring 2013, includes lane striping and minor curb repair. No road closures are anticipated for this phase.

The Bethany Road Widening Project involved the widening of Bethany Road between Butler‐Warren Road and Mason City Corp limits.
