Brant Road to Close for Culvert Replacement

Lebanon, Ohio – Brant Road (CR 91) in Salem Twp will be closed by the Warren County Highway Department on Thursday, February 2, 2012, for one (1) day, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. The road culvert replacement will require the closure of Brant Road between SR 123 and Mason‐Morrow‐Millgrove Road.
The detour for the closure will utilize SR 123, Brant Road, and Mason‐Morrow‐Millgrove Road.

County Engineer Neil Tunison Sworn in as CEAO’s New President

Lebanon, Ohio – On December 12, 2011, our Warren County Engineer, Neil Tunison, P.E., P.S., was sworn in as the County Engineer’s Association of Ohio’s (CEAO) new president. He was sworn‐in in Columbus, Ohio by Ron Maag, Ohio State Representative. Mr. Tunison will serve as president for one (1) year.
Most notably Mr. Tunison was honored statewide by CEAO when he received the 2004 County Engineer of the Year award. He was praised for his work with storm water and drainage issues.
His primary efforts will be in maintaining current federal truck weight limits, working with ODOT on project development for federally funded projects, and urging state and federal legislators to adequately fund much needed transportation projects in a new funding bill.
The CEAO serves as a central point for reference and group discussion of mutual problems for the County Engineer. The majority of Ohio's 88 counties elect a County Engineer. Only persons who hold registration certificates from the State of Ohio as both Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Registered Professional Surveyor (P.S.) may hold the office of County Engineer.

Melampy Creek Lane / Ivy Grove Lane Closure Ahead

Lebanon, Ohio – As part of the Bethany Road Improvements
project, Melampy Creek Lane will be closed Monday,
January 16, and Ivy Grove Lane will be closed Tuesday, January 17. Both closures are for the final connecting of the
water main being installed and are during daytime hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting.
All detours will be posted and will utilize Mason‐Montgomery Road, US 42, Mason Road, and Butler‐Warren Road.

Changes in Upcoming Bethany Road Closures

Lebanon, Ohio – The construction scheduled to take place on Monday, December 19, 2011, at the bridge between Meadowbrook Drive and Pinnacle Lane will no longer require a closure. Traffic will be maintained on that day.
Two upcoming closures that have been scheduled are as follows:
Ivy Grove Lane will be closed at the intersection of Bethany Road from December 15‐19. This Closure will allow for the installation of a sewer line.
Melampy Creek Lane will then be closed following the Ivy Grove Road re‐opening. The Melampy Creek Lane closure will last for two (2) days. This closure will allow for work on the water utilities.
All construction and closures are weather permitting.

Daytime Closure on Bethany Road

Lebanon, Ohio – The Bethany Road Improvements Project is still underway. On Monday, December 19, 2011, the bridge between Meadowbrook Drive and Pinnacle Lane will be closed. A crane is being brought in to drive pilings on that day as part of the new bridge build. The closure will last from 7:30 a.m.; and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting. If rain or snow postpones the work, the closure will be for the following day.
The detour will be posted and will utilize Mason‐Montgomery Road, US 42, Mason Road, and Butler‐Warren Road.

Closures for “10K on Turkey Day” run in Deerfield Twp

Deerfield Township has scheduled the second annual “10K on Turkey Day” run for Thanksgiving morning, November 24th, from 8 a.m. to approximately 10 a.m. The Township and the Warren County Sheriff’s office will provide traffic control which will require temporary closures and delays of some roads. The following is a list of road closures and delays:
- Socialville-Foster Road from Wilkins Boulevard to Snider Road. Closed from approximately 7:55 a.m. to 8:25 a.m. Traffic will be maintained or detoured; please expect delays.
- Snider Road from Socialville-Foster Road to Irwin-Simpson Road. Closed from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Traffic will be maintained or detoured; please expect delays.
- Irwin-Simpson Road from Snider Road to Wilkins Boulevard. Closed from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 am. Traffic will be maintained or detoured; please expect delays.
- Wilkins Boulevard from Socialville-Foster Road to Fields-Ertel Road. Closed intermittently from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Traffic will be maintained or detoured; please expect delays.

Traffic Pattern Change on Bethany Road

Lebanon, Ohio – The Bethany Road Improvements Project is still underway. Starting tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday, November 7, 2011, a new traffic pattern will take effect. Signs will be posted, as well as road blocks, to direct traffic on a temporary pavement from Meadowbrook Lane to the Mason Corporation Limit. This new traffic pattern will allow traffic on Bethany Road to be maintained and will remain through spring of 2012.
