Public Open House for the King Avenue Bridge #282-0.97 Over Little Miami River Improvements Project
Lebanon, Ohio - The Warren County Engineer’s Office has scheduled a Public Open House for the King Avenue Bridge #282-0.97 over Little Miami River Improvements Project in Warren County, Ohio. This project is in the Preliminary Design Phase, which includes considering alternatives for the future location of the river crossing due to the recent deteriorating condition of the current bridge and estimated life of service.
The Public Open House will be held Tuesday, April 25th, 2017, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Kings Junior High School Multipurpose Room located at 5620 Columbia Road, Kings Mills, OH 45034. This meeting will be held in an open-house format, so please visit anytime between 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM, parking is free and convenient. The Public Open House will provide an opportunity to learn about the project, view exhibits of the preliminary bridge alternatives, become familiar with the project’s anticipated schedule, and provide comments and insight aiding Warren County in selecting the preferred bridge alternative. Your attendance is encouraged and your participation and comments are appreciated. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 requires Federal agencies (or local agencies using Federal funds) to consider the effects of their actions on historic properties. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the effects of the undertaking on historic properties can become consulting parties on this project. Persons interested in becoming a consulting party will have the opportunity to fill out and submit an application form provided at the meeting.

About the Warren County Engineer
County Engineers in Ohio are required by law to be registered as both Professional Engineers (P.E.) and Professional Surveyors (P.S.) They are responsible for the maintenance and construction of county roads and maintenance and construction of bridges on county roads, township roads, and certain streets within municipalities. They are also responsible for maintaining land surveying records, checking the accuracy and adequacy of recorded land transfer documents, and establishing or re-establishing certain land survey monuments.
