Road Advisories

Each construction season we are diligently working to maintain and improve our county road system. To make your travel more convenient in Warren County we have provided the following list of upcoming and current county road restrictions. Make note of whether to expect delays because of closures and/or currently under construction areas. If you are in need of more information, please call the WCEO at 513-695-3301.

Socialville-Fosters Road Closure Extended for Four Additional Weeks.

Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio - The work on the Socialville-Fosters Road Bridge #32-5.14, over Simpson Creek between Western Row Road and Old 3C Highway, and other roadway related improvements has been delayed due to construction material deliveries and unforseen circumstances. Socialville-Fosters Road is expected to be opened back up to traffic by Wednesday, November 27th. The project is being funded by the Warren County Engingeer's Office and the Ohio Public Works Commission. The detour for the closure will continue to utilize Landen Drive, US 22/SR 3, and Old 3C Highway.

Innovation Way, Deerfield Township, Road Closure.

Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio - Cincinnati Cyclocross will be having a bike race beginning Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019. This shall require the closure of Innovation Way between Socialville-Fosters Rd. and Duke Blvd. during this time frame. The detour for this closure will utilize Socialville-Fosters Rd. and Duke Blvd.

Road Closure on King Avenue and Columbia Road for King's High School Homecoming Parade.

Lebanon, Ohio – Neil F. Tunison, the Warren County Engineer, would like to announce that effective Friday, October 11, 2019, between the hour of 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., King Avenue and Columbia Road shall be closed to traffic for the Kings High School Homecoming Parade. King Avenue shall be closed between the Kings Mill Elementary School parking lot and the Columbia Road intersection. Columbia Road shall then be closed between the King Avenue intersection and the Kings Junior HIgh School parking lot (Wilson Avenue). The parade shall begin at teh Kings Mills Elementary School parking lot and then proceed along King Avenue to Columbia Road, then south on Columbia Road to Kings Junior High School parking lot.

Corwin Road now open to traffic.

Lebanon, Ohio – Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio – Corwin Road, located between Oregonia Road and Gard Road, is now open. The closure was for the rehabilitation of bridge #47-2.25, which was constructed by the Warren County Engineer's Office Highway Department and John R. Jurgensen Company.

Road Closure on King Avenue/Grandin Road.

Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township and Hamilton Township, Warren County, Ohio – King Avenue/Grandin Road three (3) night closure has ended, and is now open to traffic. It was a night-time closure to allow for concrete demolition and repair to Peters Cartridge Company building in the Village of South Lebanon, and is now open.

Overbrook Dr., Bridge #2080-0002 Immediate Closure.

Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio – Cridge #2080-0002 located on Overbrook Dr., just east of US22/SR3, is being closed immediately after inspection discovered degradation of critical members of the bridge. The bridge shall be closed indefinitely until further repairs can be made to the structure. Detour for this closure shall utilize US22/SR3 and Hopkins Rd. Futher updates shall be forthcoming.

New Traffic Signals on Wilkens Boulevard to be in full operation.

Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio – Traffic signals recently installed on Wilkens Boulevard at the intersections with Natorp Boulevard, with Long Cove Dr/Bowen Dr. and with Terra Firma Dr./Mapledale Way will be placed in full operation on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Thank you to the traveling public for your patience.

Mt. Holly is now open to traffic.

Lebanon, Ohio – Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio – On behalf of the Wayne Township, Mt. Holly Road, located between Old Stage Road and Penewit Road, is now open. The closure was for the rehabiliation of a township culvert, which was constructed by the DDK Construction Inc. and the Wayne Township Highway Department.

Fosters-Maineville Road is now open.

Lebanon, Ohio – Hamilton Township, Warren County, Ohio – Fosters-Maineville Road, located between Old 3'C Highway and Butterworth Road, is now open. The closure was for the rehabiliation of culvert #23-1.79 and an embankment repair, which was constructed by the Warren County Engineer's Office Highway Department.

New Burlington Road is Now Open.

Lebanon, Ohio – Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio – New Burlington Road Bridge #36-1.94, over Shaffers Run between Corwin Avenue and Furnas-Oglesby Road, was replaced by the Sunesis Construction Company and is now open to traffic.

Corwin Road - Road Closure.

Lebanon, Ohio – Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio – Corwin Road, located between Oregonia Road and Gard Road, will be closed beginning Monday, August 12, 2019, through October 4, 2019, weather permitting. The closure is for the rehabilitation of bridge #47-2.25, which is being constructed by the Warren County Engineer's Office Highway Department and John R. Jurgensen Company.

Socialville-Fosters Road Closure.

Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio – Socialville-Fosters Road Bridge #32-5.14, over Simpson Creek between Western Row Road and Old 3C Highway, will be closed for rehabiliation beginning Tuesday, August 6, 2019, for twelve (12) weeks, weather permitting. A section of deteriorated retaining wall located between Simpson Creek and the roadway will be replaced as well during the closure. The bridge rehabilitation and reatining wall project will be constructed by DDK Construction, Inc. The project is funded by the Warren County Engineer's Office and the Ohio Public Works Commission.

Everett Avenue, Deerfield Township Lane Restriction Lifted.

Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio – Everett Avenue Bridge (BR2032-0.23), which is located 0.5 miles west of Montgomery Road (US22/SR3), was reduced to a single lane for a bridge replacement project. The lane restriction has been lifted.

Butterworth Road is now open to traffic.

Lebanon, Ohio – Hamilton Township – As of today, Monday, July 15, 2019, Butterworth Road, in Hamilton Township, is now open. Butterworth Road was closed due to road slippage near Ertel Run. Since the closure, the Warren County Engineer's Office surveyed and designed the project while the contruction was completed by W.E. Smith Construction.

Townsley Drive Reduced to a Single Lane for Five Weeks for a Bridge Replacement Project

Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio – Townsley Drive Bridge (BR1201-0.50), which is located 0.5 miles west of Montgomery Road (US22/SR3), will be reduced to a single lane for a bridge replacement project beginning Monday, July 15, 2019, through August 16, 2019, weather permitting.

Mt. Holly to be closed for three weeks for culvert rehabiliation project.

Lebanon, Ohio – Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio – On behalf of the Wayne Township, Mt. Holly Road, located between Old Stage Road and Penewit Road, will be closed beginning Wednesday, July 17, 2019, through August 7, 2019, weather permitting. The closure if for the rehabiliation of a township culvert, which is being constructed by the DDK Construction Inc. and the Wayne Township Highway Department.
The detour will utilize Penewit Road to Sears Road to Old Stage Road to US42 to Mt. Holly Road.

Fosters-Maineville Road to be closed for four weeks for culvert rehabilitation and embankment repair.

Lebanon, Ohio – Hamilton Township, Warren County, Ohio – Fosters-Maineville Road, located between Old 3'C Highway and Butterworth Road, will be closed beginning Monday, July 8, 2019, through August 2, 2019, weather permitting. The closure is for the rehabilitation of culvert #23-1.79 and an embankment repair, which is being constructed by the Warren County Engineer's Office Highway Department.

County Engineer to close Wilmington Road for Drilled Pier Wall Project on November 12

Washington Township – Wilmington Road (CR7) will be closed 100 feet south of the intersection of Wilmington Road and Corwin Road (Mathers Mill Hill) for a drilled pier wall project. The closure is expected to begin Monday, November 12, 2018, and last for eight (8) weeks, weather permitting.

W.E. Smith Construction was awarded the project which is funded by Warren County Road and Bridge Funds for $134,725.

The detour will be routed using Corwin Road, Olive Branch Road, and Wilmington Road.

Expect Intermittent Long Delays on Grandin Road for Two Months

Long Delays Possible | Hamilton Township

Long delays are to be expected on Grandin Road, east of the Little Miami River, for two months. The delays are due to construction traffic coming to and from a hillside repair taking place adjacent to 1415 Grandin Road, the old Peters Cartridge plant. The work is daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning next week, Monday, October 1, and last through the end of November, weather permitting. Emergency crews will be able to pass through at all times.

Nightly Alternating Lane Closures on Mason-Montgomery Road Begins Sunday, Sept. 23

Deerfield Township/City of Mason | Nightime Closure | Traffic Maintained

Alternating Lane Closures on Mason-Montgomery Road are scheduled to begin 7 PM – 6 AM, Sunday, September 23, 2018, for paving work between Merten Drive and Socialville-Fosters Road. The lane closures will last for two (2) weeks, weather permitting, and may include work on the weekends as well as weekdays. Expect delays.

While traffic will be maintained through the project area, motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes parallel to Mason-Montgomery Road such as Wilkens Boulevard and Duke Boulevard whenever possible.

The John R. Jurgensen Company is performing the paving work for the Warren County Transportation Improvement District.

Tylersville Road Improvement Project

Traffic Maintained | Deerfield Township

Beginning Monday August 13, 2018, R.B. Jergens Contractors, Inc. shall be constructing a right turn lane in the west bound direction, east of the intersection of, and on to, the north bound direction of Butler-Warren Road. The project is estimated to be completed in ten weeks, weather permitting.
